Competition Details
100m, 500m, 1000m events offered for male and female in age bands above.
Timeslots will be allocated for each distance depending on the number of entries received. Competitors can enter more than one distance
Option A) grouped events scheduled for timeframes in the day i.e. run all 100 meter events between 10:30-12:00, 500m run from 12:30 – 14:30, 1000 run from 15:00 -17:00 ,2000m run from 17:30 -19:30 (time frames depending on entry numbers & number of race machines available).
Pros – medals can be awarded for each event at the time of competition with competitors for the same event all due to compete at around the same sort of time.
Cons – could mean competitors looking to enter other sports events need to enter one or the other rather than allowing for the option to enter both sports.
NOTES: races can be mixed event classifications (ie a 1000m race can include male and female competitors racing in different age bands, results can be automatically processed from this along with visual indicators to spectators and competitors who is race who within any given race).
Uniform & Equipment
Concept 2 Ergo’s connected to ErgRace Race System Large screens will be used for spectators to view race progress.
No clothing restrictions but we recommend that comfortable sport wear would be more suitable rather than causal clothes.
Event Registration Instructions
If you want to enter the Rowing, you are now required to enter and pay online, remember you can enter more than one distance category in the competition. If you have already paid your registration fee £5 you will not be required to pay it again.
Medals
Individual medals awarded will be based upon age categories and distance Gold, Silver, Bronze for both Male & Female competitions.
Additional Information
Rowing will be a two-day event taking place on the indoor track at Manchester Regional Arena, Etihad Campus
The Wednesday is open to serving/retired members of the Emergency Services and NHS plus their immediate family members aged 18 years+
The Thursday is an open event to anyone 18 years +
All competitors are asked to arrive early for registration, to confirm attendance for their events.
Competitors must report to the marshalling area when called. Any competitors who do not report after his or her name has been called twice may be scratched from the event. Should any competitor wish to declare themselves scratched from the event, should notify the marshal at least half an hour before the event is scheduled.
There will be medal presentations following conclusion of each competition.
