Inaugural Gratitude Games postponed until May 2023

Dear Gratitude Games supporter,

As a key interested partner in The Gratitude Games, we are letting you know that the 2022 Games, originally scheduled for April/May, will now be postponed until 2023.

Because of the continuing Covid-19 pandemic, and the new uncertainty of the impact of the Omicron variant, the organisers have taken the difficult – but necessary – decision to postpone the Gratitude Games until May 2023.

The organisers are very conscious that the UK's NHS and Emergency services – the intended participants in these Games to support our Emergency Responders' mental health – will again be at the forefront of the UK's response as they work through what may be another challenging winter.

Taking the decision to act now has allowed us the opportunity to reschedule the event in partnership with the City of Manchester to 2023.

The inaugural Gratitude Games must be a safe environment for all, staged at the right time to achieve the maximum positive impact, and we feel this decision is the right one to protect those at the heart of the Games.

The organisers remain fully committed to delivering an amazing Gratitude Games in 2023 and beyond, and we look forward to welcoming you all for what will be a fantastic celebration of our Emergency Responders, a chance to show the nation's thanks for their service, and to support their mental health.

Many thanks for your continued and support and patience.
